“The route consists of almost two complete anti-clockwise laps. It starts on the road around Finsbury Park near the cafe just past the black gates. The route follows the road around the park before taking the path on the left (heading uphill) just opposite the bridge over the canal and just after the black gates on the road. At the top of the hill the route meets the road but veers straight around the boating lake, past the Athletics track, before heading through the gardens past McKenzie Pavilion and the playground and back to the start. On the second lap after rounding the lake and going through the gardens, the finish is on a first track next to McKenzie Pavilion.”

The course is in Hyde Park, and entirely on tarmac paths (about from a short muddy section, and the finish on grass), although some sections of the course do accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or temporary signs in place.

The course consists of two and a half laps of Hyde Park – from the start (at the southern tip of the park near the statue with wellies), the course crosses directly across the centre of the park, to the northern most tip before completing two and a half laps around the perimeter and finishing near the eastern most point.”

There’s one “hill” which is after going past the finish line on lap 1, and are a few other undulations as the route goes on 3 levels of paths along seafront and narrows in places. At the far end of the course there is a sharp bend on to a downhill.

The course is in Heaton Park, Manchester, and entirely on mainly on wide tarmac paths and a small section of gravel around the lake, although some sections of the course do accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain.

The course consists of a short inner anti-clockwise lap (1.5km), followed by an outer lap, also anti-clockwise (3.5km), which takes you up and around the Hall, then back down around the lake. You finish the opposite direction to the way you started, shown as a red marker on the map.

The course is 5000m (5K) long

The route consists of two laps of the North Wood. It is scenic, sheltered, and undulating, with generally wide paths. It is designed to be enjoyable, rather than for pure ‘PB’ speed. It is all tarmac, although there are areas where water, mud and leaves can accumulate after rain, so please exercise caution. Regular running shoes are suitable.

From the start at the top of the Burrell carpark, follow the access road east, turning slightly left then right. Follow the road along below the Hay field. After 150m, just after the carved woodpecker, bear left into the North Wood. Follow the path around, and take the first right, joining the main path (across and bear left) through the North Wood, up past the pond. Follow the path down the hill, and turn sharp left at the bottom just before the Glade, and head up the path along the left/north side of the Glade.

At the top of the Glade, keep going left, following the winding path up the hill. Keeping left at the top of the field behind the shelter, follow the path around and down to the left, then bear sharp right at the base of the hill. Continue on, with the bridge to your right, take the left up to the main path, and turn hard left to start the second loop.

On the second loop at the top of the hill behind the shelter, take the first right and head down the hill, keeping to the path, bearing slightly right. The finish is at the bottom, on the right fork.

The event starts on the Tasmin Trail, approximately 200 meters left of Richmond Gate entrance and before the Cambrian Gate.

Parking is available at either Pembroke Lodge or the Sheen entrance.

A pre-event briefing is provided at 08:55 every Saturday at the start. Please make your way to the start in time for this briefing as important information is provided every week.
